Sarah Goodwin-Nguyen
Goodwin-Nguyen is the author of Key West: A Comprehensive Guide to Florida's Southernmost City (Parkscape Press, 2008) as well as an ebook titled The Pet Rabbit: From Head to Feet and Everything in Between (Lulu Ebook) Currently, she writes for Key West History magazine.
In the past, she has written for Publisher's Weekly, Independent Publisher, and A Gathering of the Tribes. Her poetry, short fiction, and travel writing has appeared in numerous journals, 'zines, and anthologies.
Her work with wildlife and exotics began as a volunteer in the "exotics" room of the Harlem SPCA and with Rabbit Rescue and Rehab. After moving from NYC to Key West in the Florida Keys, she worked at the Wildlife Rescue of the Florida Keys, then as Operations Manager for the Key West Wildlife Center, next as an aquarist and tour guide at the Key West Aquarium, and then a butterfly curator at the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory. She continues to volunteer and work as-needed in the Avian hospital of the Key West Wildlife Center while concentrating full-time on writing.
Sarah Goodwin-Nguyen holds a B.A. with Honors in Creative Writing from the New School for Social Research in NYC.
